Development.

Shelf presence is ultimately what sells your products, and at Label Apeel we’re working constantly to find new methods of achieving greater shelf presence to keep your brands front of mind for browsing consumers.

How do we do this? Great technology is obviously important and we have all of that, but real shelf presence takes more than a sparkling machine. It is about the personality of the organisation and the people within it, and it’s about the culture and mix of skills within the organisation.

At Label Apeel we have drawn together a range of experts from different fields to build a team that is able to truly deliver the very best innovative labelling solutions for your brand. We obviously have printers of the highest calibre but we also have engineers, packaging technologists and designers whose combined skills deliver amazing results for clients.

Peel and Read

Labelling needs to offer shelf impact, but it also needs to carry a lot of information, whether that is marketing information or legal requirement information. Peel and Read is the answer. This multilayer solution offers high impact labels that are also capable of carrying a vast amount of detail. At Label Apeel we have developed this product intensely and are capable of producing real shelf impact, while losing none of the content.

This innovative method of carrying information was developed in house by our packaging technologist and engineers working together to meet the needs of a customer. We were able to build and fit inline, the technology that allows the print on both layers to remain in register and not forego any print quality or machine efficiency.

Scratch off Panels

It’s sometimes important to carry sensitive information in a secure and discreet manner. Having spent many months developing the right inks and layering, we are now able to offer a secure scratch off panel, which offers total opacity and security. Often used to carry secure pins or variable data, but also used for scratch card games, this system can add a level of interaction with a product and can be linked to quite complex marketing data collection systems when linked with web sites.

Cost Effective Ink Opacity

We’re currently working with our suppliers to develop a system of printing flexographic inks that offer the same level of opacity as screen inks. This has historically been seen as a weak point of flexography and something that has needed to be resolved by running very expensive combination screen and flexographic machines. While work continues to perfect this technology, we’re now 90% there and believe that we’re in a position to compete like for like with screen on a wide range of colours.

The projects listed above are a mere snapshot of the total number of projects that we have been working on over the past few months, and hopefully serve as a taster of what we can achieve. Our attitude to all projects is one of curiosity and persistence, so we invite you to throw your problems and challenges our way so that we can be a part of the team that helps you to resolve them.
